LA CIUDADELA

It’s a renaissance fortification of ancient military use, built between the 16th and 17th centuries in the city of Pamplona.

To know a little more about Ciudadela and how it was created:

when Felipe II commanded to build a fortress to ensure the loyalty of the Kingdom of Navarre and defense of the city. Its original trace is a Pentagon, with a bulwark at every angle, and at present time it is located in the center of the city, being surrounded everywhere by the park known like Tower of the castle and the largest green Zone of Pamplona.

It is a very nice place to walk around with friends and a must see touristic place to visit.
